Among the newcomer actors Sayed Zaman Shawon has already become popular choice to the play directors of present time. He has acted overall with promising actresses of present time. This time he acted with viewers’ choice popular actress and model Shahtaj Monira Hashem in an Eid drama.
They worked together in the play titled Teddy Mostafa under Tareq Rahman’s direction. Shawon played the title role in the play. Shahtaj acted in role of his girlfriend. Shooting of the play was done in the capital’s Sutrapur area on Friday.
Actors finished shooting of the play giving huge efforts under ongoing scorching heat across the country.
National Film Award winner actor Shahiduzzaman Selim and Sohel Khan also acted in two other important roles in the play. Director Tareq informed that Teddy Mostafa has been made to telecast on RTV during Eid-ul-Fitr.
While talking about acting in the play Shahtaj told this correspondent, “Under Tareq Bhai’s direction for the first time I acted in this play. Story of play is really nice. Despite having huge scorching heat we all tried our level best to give during shooting. In fact, as an artiste, we always try to give best effort in professional point of view while acting. Shawon Bhai acted well. We also tried our best. I hope viewers will enjoy the play in Eid.”
Sayed Zaman Shawon said, “Tareq Rahman is a promising director. He can easily interact with the actors during shooting. Shahtaj has become more matured in acting rather than previous years. Viewers will surely enjoy our chemistry on the screen.”
Meanwhile, earlier Shawon and Shahtaj also worked together under Rakesh Basu’s direction in a play in Nepal recently. Shahtaj has already finished shooting of an Eid play titled Prem Kora Baron with Tahsan Khan. Shawon has also finished shooting of popular directors like Mabrur Rashid Bannah, Shetu Arif, among others’ direction for coming Eid projects.
