Shahin Ahmed was brought up in a music-oriented family. His father was a singer. For this reason, he got primary training in music from his father. Then he received training from Ustad Saleh Ahmed and Ustad Ramkanai Das. To love music, he came from Sylhet to Dhaka. He debuted his career in music through a mixed album titled Bhalobashar Din, Kachhey Ashar Din with late Lyon Das and Bappa Mazumder in 2005. In 2011, his first solo album Dhushor Bikel was released. After a break of eight years, he again released his new song titled Kheyalimon. Mostafa Ahmed Babu wrote lyrics of the song while Mir Masum and Zidan jointly composed its music. The song has been released under the banner of Dhruba Music Station recently.
Promising model Affri Selima performed as model in the video song. Shahin Ahmed romanced with her in the song which video was directed by Sanjib Saha Saju.
