Syed Shahed Reza, Former Ambassador was elected as the President of Dhaka Club Limited for the year 2015-2016 at the yearly election of the Club held on December 19 last. Among 2 presidential candidates he polled 478 votes as against 408 votes to his nearest contestant Khandaker Mashiuzzaman (Romel), an Industrialist.
Syed Shahed Reza is the Managing Director of SMP Treading Co. He is the Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association and also a renowned Sports Organizer of the country.
A 10 (ten) member Executive Committee was also elected uncontested.
Newly members of the Executive Committee are- Reaz Ahmed, Engr. Ahmed Askari, W. Alamgir Bhuiyan, A.S.M. Ali Khabir Chand, Syed Tasadeque Hossain (Jahangir), A.J.M. Enamul Islam (Babul), Mrs. Nawzia Islam (Rasha), Md. Rezaul Karim, S.M.Z. Razzaque (Masum) and Abu Muhammed Sadat (Omi).
