Bangladesh’s pace bowler Shahadat Hossain is all set to give a fitness test for the upcoming National Cricket League (NCL) as Bangladesh Cricket Board recently decided to reduce his ban so that he can make a comeback to competitive cricket.
Shahadat Hossain was banned for seven years and fined Taka 3 lakh for assaulting teammate Arafat Sunny during a match of the National Cricket League.The ban is being lifted considering the mother with cancer.said Akram Khan, chairman of the BCB’s operations committee.
‘I have informed the BCB president that he is also positive about the pardon. I hope he can play in the National Cricket League this time. ‘ Akram added.
Shahadat recently applied to the BCB to reduce his ban so that he can make a comeback to competitive cricket and in the process pay the bill of his ailing mother.
Shahadat has played 38 Tests, 51 ODIs and 8 T20I matches for Bangladesh. After 2015, he could not return to the national team due to injury and various controversies.
