The biennial general meeting of The New Nation (Robbar Publications Ltd) Sramik-Karmochari Union was held on Saturday afternoon at the News Room of the daily.The election of the union for 2014-15 session was held after the meeting. Senior Assistant Editor of The New Nation Golam Haider was the Chief Election Commissioner while Shahidul Islam, Unit Chief of The New Nation unit of Dhaka Union of Journalists and ANM Wahiduzzaman, Administrative Manager of the daily, were the two other commissioners. The Office-Executives of the new committee are: President- Md Shah Alam, Vice President- Md Abdul Latif, General Secretary- Md Ahsan Ullah, Assistant General Secretary- Md Abdur Razzak, Organising Secretary- Md Saidur Rahman, Treasurer- Md Shah Alam (2), Office Secretary- Shahnaz Parveen and Publicity Secretary- Shahidul Islam.
