Nacher Putul of Bangladesh famed legendary film actress Shabnam is waiting to work in a good story based film now. After working in Kazi Hayat’s popular film Aammajan before 22 years, Shabnam did not work later. According to her, she got many offers to work in films during these 22 years. But she did not agree to work because she didn’t like stories of those films. At last, it was confirmed that she would work in film Khodar Pore Maa but later she did not act because its story was not original. For this reason, she skipped to work in that film.
In Ashok Ghosh’s movie Nacher Putul, in hero Razzak’s lip, the play-back song titled Aynate Oi Mukh Dekhbe Jokhon rendered by late Mahmudunnabi got popularity among the film-lovers during that time. Shabnam was heroine of that film. This song is a legendary number in our play-back history. In scene of the song Shabnam’s acting touched hearts of many viewers. Only this song can make Shabnam alive in the country’s film industry forever. In her acting career, Shabnam acted in Pakistani movies for long time. She was also a popular name to the viewers of Pakistani films. She got the Nigar Awards for 11 times for acting in Pakistani films. Still now she is very much eager to work in Bangladeshi films. While talking in this regard Shabnam said, “In fact, in actor’s life, there is no leisure time. For this reason, I still believe I will get the offer to work in a good and original story based film. Aammajan was my last acted film which is a milestone among the film-lovers. But question is the number of cinema halls is decreasing in the country, so how we can work in future?”
Meanwhile, Shabnam also worked in a Pakistani TV serial. She was talked to work in a Pakistani movie and also to act in own-starrer movie’s remake.
Due to corona situation, all these projects remain stalled now. During corona time she is staying at her residence in the capital’s Baridhara area with her only son Roni, Shabnam also said.
