Drizzle increased sufferings of people and severity of winter in different parts of the country on Friday.
People of lower income group, children and elderly people are seen shivering with cold and many of them fell sick by this time.
According to Met Office, light rain or drizzle is likely to occur in different parts of Chattogram, Sylhet, Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Rajshahi divisions.
The highest 14mm rainfall was recorded in Jashore and 5mm in Dhaka, according to the Met Office.
The Met Office said that the rain is expected in different parts of the country in the afternoon and at night, but may cease after midnight. Northern region’s people have been suffering immensely because of cold wave prevailing for over a week.
The lowest temperature 9.2 degree Celsius was recorded in Tentulia upazila of Panchagarh district on Friday.
Though the temperature has risen from Thursday’s 5.7 degrees Celsius recorded day before yesterday, the drizzle along with the mild to moderate cold wave amplified sufferings to the people.
