Seven more killed in road accidents

At least seven more persons were killed and 50 others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
In Rangpur, two persons were killed and about 35 people injured in a road crash in Pirganj upazila of Rangpur district.
The accident occurred at 12:00 pm in Khajjatpur area of the upazila on Tuesday night.
The injured were rushed to Pirganj Health Complex and Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
The deceased were identified as Khoydar Ali who was dead on the spot and Sukumar succumbed on the way to hospital. Moazzem Hossain, In-Charge of Barodarga Highway Police Camp, confirmed the news to media.
In Pabna, two motorcyclists were killed and another was critically injured when a bus struck their motorbike on the Pabna-Dhaka Highway at Rajapur level crossing in Sathia upazila at 8.30pm Tuesday night.
The deceased were identified as Zaher Sardar, 50, son of Saju Sardar, and Danes Sheikh, 60, son of Faju Sheikh of Sathia upazila.
Jahangir Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Sathia upazila, told that the accident took place when a Pabna-bound passenger bus from Kashinathpur rammed the motorbike carrying three people, leaving two of them killed on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent to a local hospital morgue.
In Bogra, a three-year old child named Sabbir Hossain was killed in a road accident when a pickup van rammed him at Sariakandi upazila of Bogra district.
The incident took place on Wednesday at Tinmathamor under Digholkandi village of the upazila.
Police arrested the pickup driver named Mahbubur Rahman (45). Sabbir was the son of Mukul Pramanik of Digholkandi village.
Sariakandi Police Station Sub-Inspector Mostafizur Rahman told the media.
In Narsingdi, one teenager was killed in a road crash when a auto-rickshaw turned turtle at Shibpur of Narsingdi district.
The incident took place at Purandandi bus stand on the Dhaka-Monohardi Highway at 11pm on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Shahin, son of Asadullah Mia from Dattargaon Modhupara area.
Shibpur Model Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the news media.
