The third group consists of seven footballers will report today at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House for the national team’s conditioning camp, which will be held at the Sarah Resort in Gazipur. After their coronavirus test, arranged by BFF, they will leave the city for Gazipur to take part in the residential coaching camp.
The seven footballers are – Touhidul Alam Sobuj, Topu Bormon, Mamunul Islam Mamun, Ashraful Islam Rana, Raihan Hasan, Yasin Khan and Nabib Newaj Jibon.
Earlier, eleven booters – in-form defender Bishwanath Ghosh and Suman Reza, MS Bablu and Nazmul Islam of twelve-member first batch were tested positive on first day’s (Wednesday) tests, while Tutul Hossain Badsha, Sohel Rana and Shaheedul Alam, Mohammad Ibrahim, Sushanta Tripura, Anisur Rahman and Rabiul Hasan of another twelve-member second batch were tested Covid-19 positive, by the tests organized by BFF on Thursday last.
Captain Jamal Bhuiyan and defender Tariq Raihan Kazi cannot report as they are now in Denmark and Finland respectively. Their aeroplanes flights were not available due to coronavirus pandemic. However, if their respective flights to Bangladesh will be available, they will report soon. It may be mentioned that the booters, who were tested positive for coronavirus will take part in a 14-day home quarantine. If they become a good shape, they will join the coaching camp.
