Services have been disrupted at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) after honorary doctors stopped work in protest against attack on three of their colleagues. These honorary doctors, who are a major part of the hospital workforce, refrained from work since Sunday morning, an assistant registrar seeking anonymity said. However, hospital authorities said there were fewer doctors in wards as many doctors were away to attend a weekly meeting. The situation became normal later, they claimed. On Saturday night, several intern doctors were attacked by a group of unidentified people at a restaurant. The attack might have had something to do with the May 6 incident. On May 6, Dhaka University students attacked intern doctors.- bdnews24.com
