A 2-day national seminar on “Youth Impact: Unleashing the Power of Youth” begins at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University (DU) on Sunday. DU VC Prof Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the seminar as chief guest. DU organization named ‘Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE)’ has organized this seminar.
Presided over by Moderator of SAVE Youth Aynul Islam the inaugural function of the seminar was addressed by Dean of DU Social Sciences Faculty Prof Dr Sadeka Halim as special guest. The function was also addressed, among others, by Prof Dr Rounaq Jahan, Ambassador (Retired) Humayun Kabir, Prof Dr Delwar Hossain and DU Assistant Professor Tawhida Jahan. DU VC Prof Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman said, youths are our assets and source of power. They have courage, honesty, enthusiasm and dedication to work for the advancement of the human civilization. He stressed the need for proper utilization of our youth forces for development of the country.
The seminar will be held with a total of 9 sessions. A large number of students from different universities of the country are participating at this seminar.
