A day-long seminar titled ‘The Role Digital Technology in Promoting Critical Thinking at the Tertiary Level Education in Bangladesh’ was held at Islamic University (IU), Kushtia on Tuesday.
English Department of the university organized the seminar at Rabindra-Nazrul Kola Bhaban around 11:00am.
PhD fellow Maium Jamila, Assistant Professor of Languages Department Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh explained her 1st seminar paper article titled ‘Implementing critical thinking in the tertiary level English language classroom in Bangladesh’ under the supervision of IU English Department Prof Dr M Maher Ali.
IU Arts Faculty Dean Prof Dr M Sarwar Murshed was present as chief guest while English Department Chairman Prof Dr Mosammad Salma Sultana presided over the seminar.
Associate Prof Dr M Shahadat Hossain Azad spoke here as chief discussant conducted by Associate Professor Prodip Kumar Adhikari of the Department.
Among others, Public Administration Department Chairman Prof Dr M Zulfiquar Hossain, Prof Dr AKM Montinur Rahman, and Assistant Prof SM Shoeb took in the session. Later, the PhD fellow explained her 2nd seminar paper titled ‘Application of Technology in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Classrooms: An Overview.’
