A seminar was held on the banner of “The influence of the Turkish Revolution among the Bangalis” at the Gono Bishwabidyalay recently.
Md Mahady Hasan, a lecturer of the Department of Language, Communication and Culture of the University, was the speaker of the seminar.
Sohrab Hasan, Joint Editor of the Daily Prothom Alo, was the chief discussant and Professor Monsur Musa, Chairman of the Department of Language, Communication and Culture of Gono Bishwabidyalay presided over the seminar.
Professor Dr Iqbal Joberi, Professor Karam Newaz, Dr Krishna Bhadra, Dr Fuad Hossain and Poet and Kalerdhoni Editor Emran Mahfuz also spoke, among others, in the seminar.
Mahady Hasan, also former Türkiye Burslari Scholarship Fellow, said that once the Bengali people’s dream had to own an independent land and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk’s reformist revolution was behind the dream.
