To spread the awareness about the security of information in the cyber space to the students, the Department of Software Engineering of Daffodil International University (DIU) and ISACA Dhaka Chapter jointly organized a seminar on “Cyber Security Awareness” on Friday at DIU auditorium.
Ashraful Islam, Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) was present as chief guest in the seminar while Prof Dr Md. Golam Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Acting Vice Chancellor) of DIU over the seminar. The seminar was conducted by Dr Touhid Buhiyan, Head of the Department of Software Engineering.
BCC Executive Director Ashraful Islam said that present govt has taken different kinds of initiatives to train law enforcement department to protect public and private sectors with individuals. He also said that the government steps towards the modernization of the activities up to the grass root level using internet and cyber systems will help to build `Digital Bangladesh’.
AKM Nazrul Haider, President, Dr Ijazul Haque, Vice President, Omar F Khandaker, Secretary and Shahadat Hossain, Consultant of ISACA Dhaka Chapter presented their papers in the seminar highlighting the brief on activities of ISACA.
Students have got the opportunity to become the ISACA Student group member and get all the resources from it. A total of 300 students attended the seminar and took part in the question -answer session.
