There is vast difference between the two-contrasting world of University and corporate workplace. To relate this issue a seminar on “Journey to Corporate: In the Context of Bangladesh” was held at Bijoy Auditorium on the campus of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) on Thursday.
Department of Business Administration in Marketing, Faculty of Business Studies organized the workshop.
Pro-VC Prof M Abul Kashem Mozumder, PhD of BUP was present as chief guest in the seminar. Brigadier General Muhammad Wasim-Ul-Haq, Dean, Faculty of Business Studies moderated the seminar. Managing Director Syed Alamgir of ACI Consumer Brands was the keynote Speaker. The purpose
of the seminar was to provide practical knowledge based on the theoretical knowledge. Things in the practical corporate world work on a completely different equation altogether which demonstrates the fact that being well-versed in some concept or theory doesn’t mean that someone can carry that work out with utmost perfection. To understand this difference better and perform effectively and to cope up with the interferences in new workplace, some suggestions and strategies are provided through a brief overview about the journey towards corporate world for the freshers.
