A daylong seminar on ‘Contemporary Challenges for International Humanitarian Law’ held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Monday.
The seminar was held at Mir Mosharrof Hossen academic building of the university organized by International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Law faculty jointly around 11:00am.
IU vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari was present here as chief guest chaired by Law faculty dean Prof Dr Reba Mondol.
IU pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha and Chittagong University Law faculty dean Prof Dr ABM Abu Noman were took part here as special guest conducted by Associate Prof Dr Rehena Parvin.
Abdul Latif Mbacke, deputy head of delegation of ICRC, Bangladesh delivered his welcome speech in the seminar. The speakers of the seminar spoke out on the occasion about the contemporary problem of the existing students of the university and also the recent issues of Bangladesh.
