The country’s market is often destabilized due to agricultural product quality. The poor peasants were damaged. In order to overcome this problem, the price policy of agricultural products is needed. Implementation of Pricing Policy is essential to save the stable market and peasants.
Chief Economist Jahangir Alam Khan said this while addressing a training workshop organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology of Bangladesh Agricultural University. He is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Global Village of Barisal.
The three-day ‘Value Chain and Market Linkage Development’ program was inaugurated at the Faculty Statistics at 3pm on Friday. 80 teachers and PhD students of the Department of Agricultural Economics are participating in the training.

The Chief Guest said, the country has got self-sufficiency in food due to the expansion of agricultural education. In the next 47 years, the production of food grains has increased 4 times to 4 million tonnes. But due to lack of valuation during the sale of crops, the farmers are losing money.
