Security blanket during Eid vacation: RAB

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General Benazir Ahmed on Thursday said that the elite force has taken all out security measures alongside other law enforcing agencies so that people to celebrate the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr without troubles.
A several teams the special force are now on the alert in the railway stations, bus terminals, launch docs, airports and any public places to make sure Eid celebrations peacefully.
The RAB DG made the comment to the reporters at a press briefing after inspecting the security measures at Kamalapur Railway Station on Thursday afternoon.
Around 11,000 RAB personnel ready to ensure security to the countrymen to celebrate the festivities with their loved ones in the city and other parts of the country, the police official said.  
 “We have taken all-out security measures so that the home-bound people can reach their destinations as well as return to Dhaka safely,” said Benazir.
He also said temporary camps of RAB have been set up in the bus stands, railway stations and launch terminals outside Dhaka for security of passengers.
