The local administration has imposed section 144 in Kalai pouro area in the district recently as BNP and Awami League candidate have called meeting simultaneously at the same venue. The restriction will remain in force from 6 am to 6 pm today, said officer-in-charge of Kalai thana Sirajul Islam.
The imposition has been forced in the area to maintain law and order in the town, said Kalai upazila nirbahi officer Badal Chandra Halder.
