The Walton Second Division Kabaddi League began at the Kabaddi Stadium on Sunday.
First Senior Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn inaugurated the kabaddi competition as the chief guest. Vice-President of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation and Chairman of the Tournament Committee Md Nizam Uddin Chowdhury Parvez, General Secretary of the Federation Md Nazrul Islam and Member Secretary of the Tournament Committee Md Shawpon Khan were present at the time.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups are taking part in the kabaddi meet. They are: Ali Sporting Club, Gulistan Sporting Club, Ideal Krira Chakra, Moniruzzaman Krira Chakra, Sun Shine Sporting Club, Muradnagar Ekadosh, Sonali Recreation Club and JB Sporting Club.
The kabaddi meet will come to an end on January 28.
The champions and the runners-up of the kabaddi competition will be promoted to the First Division Kabaddi League.
