The authorities of BASIC Bank will form a search committee to find new managing director of the troubled state-owned bank.
“We will form the search committee next week to appoint the new managing director of the bank,” Alauddin A Majid, chairman of BASIC Bank told The New Nation yesterday
Muhammad Awal Khan, the incumbent managing director of the bank submitted his resignation letter to the bank’s board recently citing personal ground.
The Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance appointed him for three years replacing Khandaker Md Iqbal.
“The search committee will name suitable candidates and the bank authorities will finally pick up one as the managing director,” said Majid who will lead the committee.
