A delegation of South East Asian Co-operation (Seaco) Foundation made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Thursday.
During the meeting, the delegation led by Seaco chairman Mohammed Mohsin apprised the President of the 10th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) summit to be held in Dubai from October 28-30.
Abdul Hamid will attend the summit.
The delegation said that the second largest business delegation from Bangladesh will join the summit.
They also said that Bangladesh is playing an important role in the forum. Seaco is planning to organize a roundtable next year in Dhaka, they added.
The President hoped that the foundation’s efforts would help increase trade and investment in Bangladesh.
Concerned secretaries to the President were present.
