Scouts destroy 2,300 mosquito breeding grounds in city

Bangladesh Scouts observed a programme in two city corporations in Dhaka for creating awareness to prevent dengue by destroying mosquito breeding grounds.
During the programme, the scouts found the sources of Aedes mosquito larva at 1,132 places in 66 wards under Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) after visiting 13,085 houses.
They also found sources of larva at 1,158 places in 54 wards under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) as they visited 25,309 houses, said an official release.
The scouts found 280 dengue patients in DSCC and 178 patients in DNCC.
Bangladesh Scouts is conducting the drives to destroy the breeding grounds of Aedes so that dengue could not spread.
