UNB, Chittagong :
A schoolgirl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling fan at her residence in the city’ s Halishahar Residential Area early Monday.
The deceased was identified as class X student Nusrat Zahan Setu, 15, daughter of Abdul Kaiyum, resident of House no-15, Block-J, Lane-1, Halishahar Residential Area.
Sub-inspector of Halishahar Police Station Nurul Bashar said Setu committed suicide in her room at late night after her mother rebuked her for study on Sunday evening.
