Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested eight teens, including the group chiefs of teenage star gangs ‘Disco Boys’ and ‘Big Boss’ in connection with the sensational murder of the city’s Uttara schoolboy Adnan Kabir.
The arrested persons are Shahriar Bin Sattar alias Setu, 22, Akhtaruzzaman Choton, 19, Shahinur Rahman, 17, Ramzan Mubarak, 17, Selim Khan, 23, Ibrahim Hossain alias Sani, 28, Mizanur Rahman alias Sumon, 22, and Jahidul Islam alias Juice, 21.
Of them, the siblings Choton and Sumon are hawkers, Sani is an easy-bike driver, Selim is garment worker, Ramzan is an employee of a sound system shop and Shahinur is a transport worker.
They also recovered three swords, two machetes, two iron rods, three bottles, two school bags four sets of cannabis from their possession, RAB official said.
Mufti Mahmud Khan, Director to the Media Wing of elite force, disclosed this at a RAB Media Center in the city’s Kawran Bazar on Tuesday morning.
