One school student died of drowning in the swimming pool of Panchalaish UN Park in city on Friday.
The student identified as Rakibul islam Rabbi(12) . The body of the victim was rescued from the city corporation owned swimming pool in the evening by Fire brigade rescue team.
Asstt Direcor of Chittagong Fire Services Md.jasimuddin said the victim alongwith the other friends were playing in the pool but Rakibul could not survive from drowning .The body was handed over to the family of the deceased, sources said.
