An influential local is building a concrete structure, grabbing a portion of land owned by Kashimnagor High School at Kashimnagor village in Monirampur Upazila in Jashore district. Anser Ali Gaji backed by some locals has started construction of a concrete house on the southeastern side of the school land a few days ago, claiming the Headmaster and school teacher of the school.
Though Anser Ali Gaji claims that he is the real owner of the land, he could not show any papers to substantiate his claim, said Hasanuzaman, headmaster of the school.
We have already informed the upazila education officer of the matter and sought his immediate intervention to save the land, construction of a concrete structure on the land is going on, but local administration is yet to take any step to stop it.” the headmaster added.
Contacted, Upazila Education Officer Bikas chandra Sarker said some ruling party men have assured him of resolving the issue as soon as possible. “If they fail to solve the problem, we shall go for legal action against the man,” the education officer said. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ahsan Ullah Sharifi said no one had any opportunity to building a concrete structure to the school land. We investigated the matter.
