Sports Reporter :The Polar Icecream 23rd School Handball (Boys’ & Girls’) Tournament begins today at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium. Bangladesh Handball Federation will arrange the handball competition under auspices of Polar Icecream.Police Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Asaduzzaman Mia, BPM, PPM will inaugurate the handball meet as the chief guest while CEO of Dhaka Icecream Limited Shah Masud Imam will be with him as the special guest.Marking the ensuing handball competition, a press conference was held at the office room of Bangladesh Handball Federation on Wednesday. General Secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, Marketing Manager of Polar Icecream Abdullah Al Mamun, Chairman of the Tournament (Boys’) Committee Golam Habib, Chairperson of the Tournament (Girls’) Committee Hamida Begum, Secretary of the Tournament (Boys’) Committee Md Selim Mia Babu and Secretary of the Tournament (Girls’) Committee Parvin Nasima Nahar Putul were present at the conference.The budget of the Tournament (Boys’ Group) is Tk 4,25, 000 while the budget of the Tournament (Girls’ Group) is 3,25,000. Polar Icecream, the sponsor of the competition will bear total expenditure.
