Police recovered the throat-cut body of a Class-III teenage student from a paddy field on Bipa Roadside in the Badekolpa area in Mymensingh Sadar Upazila at 5pm. The teenage was identified as Airin Akhtar, 10, was the daughter of rickshaw van driver Yunus Mia. Airin was student of Mymensingh Zila Parishad School.
The reason of the murder was not known immediately.
Officer-in-Charge of Mymensingh Model Police Station (OC), Kamrul Islam, confirmed the incident The dead body has been sent to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
