A class ten student Urmi Akhter (16) did not return home with the vaccine to prevent coronavirus. A reckless speeding tractor took her life. Urmi’s relatives and classmates are crying because of this. The accident took place in Ayla area of Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj on the Kishoreganj-Chamtaghat Road on Thursday noon.
Victim Urmi (16) daughter of Ratan Miah in Sutarpara of Karimganj upazila. She was a SSC candidate from Niamatpur High School, Karimganj.
Locals said that Urmi was returning home in an auto-rickshaw with his classmates after receiving the second dose of Covid -19 vaccine from President Abdul Hamid Medical College and Hospital. On the way, a tractor coming from the opposite direction hit Urmi’s auto-rickshaw after coming to Ayala area of Karimganj upazila.
Officer-in charge (OC) in Karimganj Police Station Shamsul Alam Siddique , Conformed the matter and said that the body was sent to Kishorganj general hospital morgue for autopsy.
