Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, with its local partners Adex Corporation Ltd, System Engineering Ltd and Xebec Trading Services organised a seminar on “Intelligent Solutions for Modern Buildings” at a local hotel recently.
Sophie Aubert- Ambassador of France to Bangladesh was present as chief guest while Rajesh Sawant, Senior Manager – Eco-Building Business, Schneider Electric; Pradeep Saikia, Country President- Schneider Electric Sri Lanka & Bangladesh operation and Engr Mohammad Abdul Majid, Superintending Engineer- PWD E/M P&D Circle as discussants.
Architects, Electrical Consultants from Commercial Building, Healthcare, Hotel, Textile, Food & Beverage attended in it.
Residential and commercial buildings consume approximately 60percent of the world’s electricity. So Energy is one of the largest expenses for facility owners and managers and is under increasingly rigorous regulations.
However, many organizations have minimal visibility into their utilities. Schneider Electric addresses these challenges by providing a fully embedded, cost effective power monitoring solution that can be managed via a single system. Sophie Aubert, the chief guest said: “The economic image of my country abroad is one of the main priorities of the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs. We want our image and our economic potential to reflect what we are. That’s why I am honoured to be part of this event”.
Elaborating on subject, Rajesh Sawant said: “Our solution aims to make homes and buildings more energy efficient in order to ensure optimum return of this investment and to achieve satisfactory performance in terms of safety & reliability. Schneider Electric integrated approach to building management that can reduce energy, capital expenditures, reduce operating expenditures and improve overall performance”.

Engr Mohammad Abdul Majid, also shared the aspects of safe building as per Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC).
