SC lawyer Idrisur Rahman dies of coronavirus

Senior Supreme Court lawyer Mohammad Idrisur Rahman, 64, died on Wednesday due to the novel coronavirus, said his son Barrister Imtiaz Rahman Sobuz.
He was under treatment in a city hospital and breathed his last at 4.00 am.
Meanwhile, Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain expressed deep condolence with the demise of the lawyer, who was also a rights activist.
Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President AM Amin Uddin and Secretary Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kaza also expressed their condolence.
The lawyer was admitted in the hospital for treatment on June 18 after being infected by Covid-19 virus.
His body was buried in his village graveyard, Bangora Bazar, in Muradnagar upazila of Cumilla district, after Jahor prayer on Wednesday. He left behind his wife, son, daughter and a host of admirers to mourn his death.
He was the main lawyer of much talked case of Section 54 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
