SBL organises discussion to mark National Mourning day: Sonali Bank Limited (SBL) arranged a special webinar discussion meeting on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman marking the national mourning day to remember Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank Ziaul Hasan Siddiqui spoke as chief guest while its CEO and Managing Director Md Ataur Rahman Prodhan presided over the discussion held at the conference room at the bank’s head office on Saturday. Ziaul Hasan Siddqui urged all officers and employees of the bank to work relentlessly to build a poverty and hunger-free happy and prosperous Bangladesh. Md Ataur Rahman Prodhan said Bangabandhu always carried his dream for people. Officers and employees of all offices and branches across the country virtually joined the discussion. One minute silence was observed as a mark to pay homage to Father of the Nation and other martyrs of 15 August. A special prayer was also offered for the salvation of the departed souls of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other martyrs of the family and also for the prosperity of the country, said a press release.
