The students of ‘The Explorers” group of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) recently went on a fortnightly SAARC study tour recently. They visited different provinces of India and Nepal. The students got the opportunity to visit various historical and pictorial places of Kolkata, cultural city of India and home to the Bengal renaissance, Agra, city of the Tajmahal, Jaipur, Pink City of India, Delhi, capital of India, Himachal Pradesh, and Darjeeling.
The group members were Prof Dr Md Ismail Hossain (guide teacher), Sheikh Mohammed Mamur Rashid (group leader), Salma Sadia, Iffat Jahan Nur, Tasnia Ferdous, Zannatul Firdaus Binte Habib, Taslima Akter, Mostafizur Rahman Lincon, Md Zillur Rahman, Benazir Iqbal, Md Nazrul Islam, Md Mazharul Islam, SMM Shahriar Tonmoy, Rakibul Hasan Sharif, and Md Arifuzzaman.
During this tour, the students gathered knowledge and experience on the culture, environment, historical places, economy and agriculture. Participants also got the opportunity to study the successes and failures in Indian agriculture. This tour also developed understanding and imparted knowledge through interaction and sharing among the students.
