A whole night classical music was organised by Sargam, the only regular monthly publication on music in the country, at the Conference Lounge of the National Press Club recently.
Dr Ishrat Jahan started the night with Raga Meru Behag. Her excellent performance enthralled the audience.
After her came into stage Ustad Azizul Islam with flute. Other performers were Pankaj Basu, Reenat Fauzia (Sitar), Dr Fakir Sumon, Dr Pradip Nandi, Ustad Shahadat Hossain Khan, Yasmeen Mustary, Manik Rahman, Shahinoor Reza, Zabir Imam Khan Shahi, Amin Akhter Sadmani and finally Karim Hassan Khan concluded Raga Tori and a very popular Bandish Al Bela Sajan Aowere of Raga Ahir Bhairo.
