Saplings have been distributed on the occasion of World Environment Day at Tarash in Sirajganj on Sunday. Saplings were distributed in the hall room of the Upazila Public Library with the organization of Chalanbil Dustho Mahila Sangstha (CDMS) and in collaboration with ALRD.
CDMS Director Abdul Malek presided over the function with Chairman of the Upazila Parishad, Principal Moniruzzaman Mon as chief guest.
Were present at the occasion among others, Monirul Islam, Representative of Upazila Social Services Department, Mottaleb Hossain Shishir, Lecturer of Tarash University College, Khairuzzaman Dulal, Lecturer of Women’s College, Mohsin Ali, co-president of the upazila press club and upazila representative of the daily New Nation, M Sanowar Hossain Saju, correspondent of Sonali Bangla TV, Rokshana Khatun, coordinator of Paribartan, former member of Sadar Union Sufia Khatun and others. Two saplings were distributed to each participant.
