Salma Khatun and Sharmin Akhter Supta, members of Bangladesh’s national women’s cricket team, will feature in the Women’s T20 Challenge, better known as the Women’s IPL.
The tournament, which will feature three teams and take place in Pune from May 24-28, was canceled last year due to a clash with India’s visit to Australia.
The previous time it was held was in the United Arab Emirates in 2020, when Salma played for the Trailblazers, one of the three teams competing for the trophy this year, with Supernovas and Velocity.
This time, Salma will be accompanied by Supta in the same franchise Trailblazers, who will be competing in her maiden event away from home.
Salma made a strong impact in the 2020 edition of the event, where her performance with the ball in the final helped Trailblazers win their first title.
