Salauddin Jaki critically ill, now in Bangkok

Noted director and Chief Operating Officer of SA TV Syed Salauddin Jaki has been sent to Bangkok by air ambulance at 10:30pm on Thursday.
Syed Jaki and his wife reached into Bangkok Hospital on Friday night at 3:30am. Salauddin Jaki suddenly felt unwell and has been suffering from fever from Wednesday. His lung was being infected by infection which later spread to kidney. As a result, his physical condition was deteriorating. He was admitted into ICU (intensive care unit) at Lab Aid Hospital before going to Bangkok. While communicating with Jaki’s wife Sahana Begum she told this correspondent over mobile phone, “Let everybody pray for my husband so that he can recovery well and return to country.”
It may be mentioned that Syed Salauddin Jaki is a filmmaker, storywriter, scriptwriter, trainer, dialogue-maker and writer at a time.
This noted filmmaker first made a film in 1980 titled Ghuddi. Raisul Islam Asad and Suborna Mustafa performed in two lead roles in the movie. He got the National Film Award in category of dialogue writing for this movie.
In 1973, for the first time from Bangladesh Salauddin Jaki and late Badol Rahman went to Pune in India to study on filmmaking under the government scholarship. He made movies Laal Benaroshi and Ayna Bibi’r Pala. These two movies were released in 1990.
