Saif Sporting Club (SC) played a 3-3 goals draw with Chittagong Abahani Limited at the Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Thursday.
Chittagong Abahani Limited took the fourth position in the points table collecting nine points from five matches, while Saif SC took the sixth position earning seven points from five matches.
Sajjad Hossain of Saif Sporting Club put his team ahead by a placing shot using a long pass of his teammate Asror Gofurov in the fifth minute of the play. Chittagong Abahani Limited got a penalty kick in the injury time of the first half. Saif Sporting Club’s Abid touched the ball in the D-box. Thus, the referee awarded a penalty kick to Chittagong Abahani. Abahani’s Nigerian recruit Peter leveled the margin by a penalty shot.
In the 58th minute, Asror Gofurov was roughly charged by Abahani’s Nigerian defender Kehinde Yisa. Thus , Saif SC were awarded a penalty kick. Emeka of Saif SC made it 2-1 by a penalty kick.
Peter of Chittagong Abahani deceived the advanced Saif goalie and equalized the margin in the 67th minute.
Kawshik Barua of Chittagong Abahani touched the ball in the danger zone in the 78th minute of the match. Emeka of Saif Sporting Club made it 3-2 by a penalty kick.
Peter of Chittagong Abahani leveled the margin by a header and equalized the margin in the injury time of the second half. Peter also fulfilled his hat-trick by this goal.
