Saif Sporting Club (SC) drew 1-1 with Bangladesh Police Football Club in the day’s first match of the Bashundhara Group Federation Cup Football at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur on Sunday.
Police FC got the first chance in the ninth minute of the play. Police’s Afghan recruit Amiruddin Sharifi failed to strike after getting a ball from a pass of his teammate Adil.
Then, Saif Sporting Club got four opportunities but the booters failed to convert those into goals.

Emphon Sunday got the ball at the D-box in the 24th minute of the match but he failed to strike the ball.
After three minutes Fahim’s shot went wide.
Emeka’s placing shot was saved by Police goalie in the 38th minute.
Saif’s Rwandan defender made it 1-0 by a spot-kick in the 54th minute of the match.
Amiruddin Sharifi of Police leveled the margin just at the dying moment.
