Saidpur Railway Workshop will be modernized and manpower will be appointed to vacant posts . Besides, the land which is needed for the development of Railway will be evicted, he added.
Railway Minister Advocate Nurul Islam Sujan has said , the Government is working for the development of the Railway.
He said this at a meeting with senior officials of the Railway at Saidpur Railway Officers Club on Saturday.
Harun-or-Rashid, General Manager of Rajshahi, West of Bangladesh Railway, was present as special guest. Mofazzal Hossain , Secretary, Ministry of Railway and Shamshuzzaman, Director General of Railway were also present among the others.
The view exchange meeting was organised by Saidpur Railway Workshop.
The issues related to the development of Railway Workshop have been discussed in the meeting. During the meeting, the Minister was informed about the activities of the Railways. The Minister also directed the officers about the developmental activities of the Railway.
Responding to Journalist’s questions about the eviction campaign, the Minister said that the places that are illegally occupied will be recovered and leased according to the rules of the Railway and the rest of the land will be used for the development of Railway..
