Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar said blocking of technology is not a solution rather technology-based crimes have to be dealt with the technology.
“Internet is a store of knowledge. So, children should not be kept aside from internet rather we have to ensure safer internet for children, and Bangladesh has attained technical ability to keep internet safe,” he added
The minister said this recently while addressing a seminar on safer internet at CIRDAP auditorium organized by the Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) as chief guest.
Alongside the safer internet, Jabbar said initiatives would also be taken to introduce parental guidance system to provide a secure cyber space to the children.
Mentioning that an unprecedented transformation has been occurred in the country in the evolving of information and communication technology, the minister said “We will become digital and remain safe in internet.”
He laid emphasis on the incorporation of personal information security and pornography law into the Digital Security Act.
