Sack of rotten chicken found in BSMMU canteen

The administration finding a sack of rotten chicken in canteen of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University closed it without delay.
A probe body will be formed today to investigate the matter and to take punitive action against those who were responsible for the crime, officials said.
The teachers of the university told the journalists that they got acute stink when a canteen boy was
carrying something in a sack through the backdoor of the canteen during lunch period there on Thursday.
The teachers stopped taking meals because of the acute bad smell.
When the teachers asked the boy and other employees what was in the sack, they gave no reply.
Then the teachers went inside and found canteen boys bringing out rotten chickens from within the sack for preserving in the fridge and the stink was spreading from the rotten chickens.
The teachers then informed it to the authority of the university.
Then the Additional Registrar of the university Professor Dr. Asadul Islam and Deputy Proctor Sheikh Abdullah Al Mamun went to the canteen and found the allegation truth. They immediately closed the canteen.
Professor Dr. Asadul Islam on Friday said, “We have detected the guilty among the canteen employees about bringing a sack full of rotten chickens to serve to the teachers and students. We have closed the canteen temporarily. A probe body will be formed today. Those who are guilty must face punitive actions soon.”
