Sabina Khatun crosses 100-goal landmark

Sabina Khatun of Bashundhara Kings crossed the 100-goal landmark on Sunday. She hit hat-trick against Soddya Pushkoroni Sporting Club in the match of the Bangladesh Women’s Premier League Football at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur on Sunday. She is the first female booter of Bangladesh who scored 100 or above 100 goals in domestic football competition.
Sabina Khatun started her yesterday’s match with 98 goals. She scored two goals in the first half and reached the 100-goal landmark in domestic football competition. After the lemon-break, she scored another goal to cross the 100-goal landmark.
Sabina scored more than hundred goals playing four editions of Women’s Premier Division Football League. She scored 25 goals for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited in the year of 2011. She scored 28 goals for Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in the year of 2013.
Sabina scored 35 goals for Bashundhara Kings in the Women’s Premier League last year. She scored 13 goals in this year’s ongoing Premier League Football.
Head Coach of Bangladesh Women’s Football team Golam Rabbani Choton witnessed the record of Sabina Khatun.
Golam Rabbani said, ” Sabina is always an attractive player. She is very industrious and dedicated to her matches. She achieved a great success. I hope that Sabina will lead the country’s football and develop her record.”
