SA women complete ODI series with 8-wicket win

Visiting South African (SA) women team recorded an overwhelming eight-wicket win over hosts Bangladesh in the fifth and final ODI of five-match series to take the series 4-1 held on Friday at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.
Batting first after winning the toss, the hosts were cheaply dismissed at 68 in 36.3 overs. Opener Sharmin Sultana (13) and Nigar Sultana (10) able to reach the double figure.
Odine Kirsten caused the major damage as she grabbed four Bangladesh’s wickets conceding 10 runs. She was well supported by Marcia Letsoalo who bagged three wickets giving away 13 runs.
In reply, the visitors strolled to the target in 10 overs for the loss of two wickets. South African opener Lizelle Lee scored 37 runs while Chloe Tryon was unbeaten with 13 runs.
South Africa opener Lizelle Lee was named the player of the series for her impressive performance all through the series while Odine Kirsten was adjudged the player of the match.
