The South Asian (SA) Vovinam Championship starts today at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in the city’s Mirpur.
Minister for Information Hasanul Haq Inu will inaugurate the competition as the chief guest. Vice-Chancellor of Khawaja Mainuddin Chshti University Maruf Mirza, President of Bangladesh Vovinam Association Dildar Hasan Dilu will present at the time.
A total of 80 athletes from hosts Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Afghanistan will participate in the championship.
The concluding ceremony will be held tomorrow.
