South Korean Company M/S Campha Outdoor Limited will invest $7.38 million to set up a camping items plant on 6375 square meter Standard Factory Building in Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone.
An agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA) and M/S Campha Outdoor Ltd here Thursday, a BEPZA release said here.
Sayed Nurul Islam, Member (Investment promotion), BEPZA and Kim Beom Joon, Managing Director of Campha Outdoor Ltd signed the agreement on behalf of the respective sides.
Major General Mohammad Habibur Rahman Khan, Executive Chairman, Khandakar Aktaruzzaman, Member (Engineering) and AKM Mahbubur Rahman, Member (Finance), among others, were present on the occasion.
Fully foreign owned Campha Outdoor company will produce annually two million pieces of tents, sleeping bags, camping chair and all kinds of bags, the release said.
After establishing the plant, some 1100 Bangladeshi will get employment opportunity in this company.
