Mohammad Jahangir has joined the state-owned Rupali Bank Limited as its new managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO).
Recently, he has been appointed to the bank as the MD and CEO as per a notification issued by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance.
Mohammad Jahangir had started his career as an officer of the Rupali Bank in 1990, a press release said on Sunday.
Before being promoted to the managing director, he served as the deputy managing director at the same bank and performed important responsibilities with integrity, it said.
He also served as the general manager of the bank’s Dhaka south and divisional office in Chattogram. He also held various important posts during his professional career.
Born in Noakhali, Jahangir obtained a Master of Commerce in management from University of Dhaka and also later a Master of Business Administration in finance.
