With the invitation from the country’s one of the noted recitation artistes, Rupa Chakraborty, recitation group, Shanan organises recitation evening of poet Shyamsundor Shikder’s poems titled
Kobitar Dhwoni Srotoshini, which is scheduled to be held today at Abdul Karim Sahityabisharad
Auditorium of Bangla Academy.
The programme will start at 5:00pm.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, MP will be present as the chief guest
at the programme, while Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar
will be present as special guest on the occasion.
While talking about arranging this programme
its convener Rupa Chakraborty said, “Under the arrangement of Shanan, we have tried to organise an exceptional recitation evening today. Before corona pandemic, Shanan tried to organise recitation programmes on poems of a solo poet. After pandemic, Shanan is going to arrange this evening on solo poet’s poems. This time we have concentrated to less known poet Shyamsundor Shikder.
Poems, songs and dance performances on poet Shyamsundor Shikder will take place in the programme. Country’s noted recitation artistes will recite poems from the poet’s poem books. There will be presentation of eight categories’ recitation artistes in this event. I hope recitation-lovers
will attend this evening.” Last February Rupa Chakraborty got Golam Mustafa Memorial Award.
