Internationally renowned singer Runa Laila is going to receive Personality Award today. She will receive the award at 6:00pm at Hotel Sonargaon. Since 1996 Shako Telefilm has been awarding different cultural personalities for their contributions. As a part of its continuation, Runa Laila will receive the award. Nazmul Khan, Director of Shako Telefilm, confirmed the matter yesterday.
While sharing her feelings to receive the award Runa Laila told this correspondent, “To get any award is the recognition of any work. I am happy to know the news. In fact, any award receiving obviously increases duties and responsibilities of mine. I will be glad to get the award.”
It is noted that last month Runa Laila got Lifetime Achievement Award from Bengali daily Amader Shomoy.
